The short version. The current shastra.chat marketing website does not use advertising cookies or first-party analytics cookies. Hosting providers receive ordinary request information, and Google Fonts may receive network and device information when fonts load.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website can place on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and software identifiers. They can support essential functions, remember preferences, measure use, or enable advertising.

2. Technology used on this website

The current website is primarily static. We do not presently set first-party advertising, retargeting, or behavioral-analytics cookies, and we do not use website cookies to build advertising profiles.

Hosting and security. Vercel processes ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp to deliver and protect the site. It may use strictly necessary technology for security and traffic management.
Fonts. The website requests EB Garamond and Hanken Grotesk font files from Google Fonts. As part of that network request, Google may receive information such as IP address, browser, and requested font resource under Google’s own privacy terms.
Site interactions. The page uses in-browser JavaScript for visual effects and the interactive reflection example. These features do not write your selections to cookies or browser storage.

3. The mobile app

Mobile apps generally use device storage and software identifiers rather than browser cookies. The shastra.chat app stores settings and some content on your device and uses service identifiers for features such as accounts, synced progress, notifications, and subscriptions. Those practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Your controls

You can block or delete cookies through browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technology may prevent some websites from working correctly. Because the current shastra.chat website does not use non-essential first-party cookies, it does not presently display a cookie-consent banner.

5. Future changes

If we add non-essential analytics or advertising technology, we will update this Policy and provide consent controls where required before using that technology.
